How To Set Up Your Main Menu

Influences header menu functions a little differently than other themes as we allow you to build standard menus, gallery menus, individual links, and mega menus alongside each other.

Standard menu

This is similar to most other themes where you specify which Menu from Online store > Navigation you want to display and it pulls it through with the top-level items displayed in the Header.

Mega menu link

This option adds a single Menu item onto your Header which then outputs the chosen menu into a dropdown containing multiple columns and can also display linked images in the dropdown.

Menu link

This option adds a single Menu item to your Header which you can connect a single link with no dropdowns.

Gallery menu link

The Gallery menu link adds a single Menu item to your Header which has a dropdown containing an image grid instead of a list view of your links. This is set up in the theme and not under Online store > Navigation.

FAQs

How do I add an image to my menu?

There are two different ways to add imagery to your menu. Either using the Gallery menu link block to create an exclusively image-focused menu dropdown or via the Mega menu link option where you can add up to three images alongside your menu items.

Can the anchor link be translated?

Currently, the anchor link cannot be translated - if you are planning to use multiple languages on your storefront, you'll need to add multiple mega menus with the anchor link of choice translated for each.

Without this step being taken, you may notice the Mega Menu is only available on your default language option.

How many columns can my menu hold?

The Mega Menu is coded to always stretch across the full width of the screen, and can hold a maximum of five columns across - adding an image will create and use up one of these columns.
